"That which is overdesigned, too highly specific, anticipates outcome; the anticipation of outcome guarantees, if not failure, the absence of grace."
-- William Gibson, All Tomorrow's Parties
Goblet of Fizzire.

Man, what was up with Dumbledore? He sucked! I don't remember him sucking this much in the third movie.

At least the big scene in the graveyard played out properly. Pity about the rest of it.

Of course... isn't that how the books go as well? All this Nothing, and then OMFG WTF WOW, back to Nothing.

No, the books go like this:

Harry walked into the room, where Hermione, Ron, Neville, Ginny, and some
seocnd-year were sitting at the table. "Hi, Harry," said Hermione. "Hi,"
said Harry to Hermione while nodding to Neville, looking at Ginny and
ignoring Ron. "Hi, Harry," said the second-year, staring at Harry's scar.
"Eat a cock, kid," said Harry, casting an exasperated glance at Hermione,
Neville, and Ginny. He was still ignoring Ron. Ron harumphed and crumpled up
the scroll he was writing on. Hermione rolled her eyes and cast meaningful
glances at Neville and Ginny before standing and pointedly announcing:
"Who's for studying in the library? Neville? Ginny?" Neville and Ginny
quickly nodded at Hermione. Ron started to stand and said "Yah, me too," but
Hermione said "No, Ron, I think you and Harry have something to talk about.
Isn't that right, Harry?". Hermione looked at Harry until Harry's glare
melted into a countenance of resignation. "Fine, Hermione," he said, "I'll
talk to Ron." Harry looked at Hermione, Ginny, Neville, and even Ron before
punching the second-year in the kidneys and taking his chair.
